I don't have a philosophical problem with the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - I'm a grown man and this is a PG-rated movie based on a cartoon for nine year olds. I do have an aesthetic problem, in that the new versions of the Turtles look awful. Besides being improbably enormous and adorned with too many accessories, they have grotesque faces complete with horrific flaring nostrils.
But one fan on Reddit saw how easy it would have been to fix the Turtles... by simply getting rid of their noses. By giving them the traditional rounded snouts, the new versions of the Turtles look a) like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and b) not gross.
