Badass Exclusive: Awesome Painted Poster For SXSW Film HOUSEBOUND!

I won't be making it to SXSW this year (if you're in Austin look for Meredith to be repping BAD), which means I'm going to miss some of the cool movies that are debuting - movies like Housebound, which has this painted poster we are so proud to debut. I absolutely love this creepy image, and I'm hoping I'll get a chance to check out the movie itself soon. What's it about? Glad you asked:

Kylie Bucknell is forced to return to the house she grew up in when the court places her on home detention.  Her punishment is made all the more unbearable by the fact she has to live there with her mother Miriam - a well-intentioned blabbermouth who's convinced that the house is haunted.  Kylie dismisses Miriam's superstitions as nothing more than a distraction from a life occupied by boiled vegetables & small town gossip.  However, when she too becomes privy to unsettling whispers & strange bumps in the night, she begins to wonder whether she's inherited her overactive imagination, or if the house is in fact possessed by a hostile spirit who's not particularly thrilled about her return.

If you're in Austin for SX you'll have three chances to catch this New Zealand film, including its world premiere. Here are the dates:

Monday, 3/10 @ 9:30 PM - Violet Crown Cinema, World Premiere
Tuesday, 3/11 @ 4:30 PM - SXSatellite: Alamo Slaughter
Thursday, 3/13 @ 9:45 PM - Rollins Theatre at The Long Center

Housebound is directed by Gerard Johnstone and stars Morgana O'Reilly, Rima Te Wiata, Glen-Paul Waru, Cameron Rhodes, Millen Baird, Ross Harper, Bruce Hopkins, Ryan Lampp, Ian Mune and Wallace Chapman.
