Badass Exclusive: See The Incredibly Creepy Poster For Nacho Vigalondo’s OPEN WINDOWS

I'm really thrilled to debut the poster for Nacho Vigalondo's Open Windows here at Badass Digest. Nacho's a friend of BAD and a filmmaker we believe in, and Open Windows is one of my most anticipated titles at South by Southwest next week.

Because Nacho is a staple at Fantastic Fest every year (except at FF2012, the year he was shooting Open Windows), we've been lucky enough to be among the first audiences for his previous two features - Timecrimes and Extraterrestrial - as well as many of his shorts. Although Open Windows wasn't ready in time for Fantastic Fest 2013, it's still premiering in Austin, and that just feels right.

And good lord, this poster is creepy. I don't even like looking at it for very long. Between this leather hood and the bloody mask of rags in Timecrimes, Nacho has made two of the most unsettling monster masks in a decade.

Both Timecrimes and Extraterrestrial are gripping, strange, beautiful films, and the trailer for Open Windows - starring that other Fantastic Fest essential, Elijah Wood - looks to be, well, gripping and strange and beautiful. Watch it and read the summary below.

Elijah Wood stars as a fanboy of actress Jill Goddard (Sasha Grey), and as the winner of an online contest he gets the rare chance to have dinner with her. However, when dinner plans are cancelled someone named Chord says he can make up for it. Chord gives Nick (Elijah Wood) the tools to spy on Jill from his computer, in a way that no fan could ever dream of. After each demand Chord gives Nick, it becomes apparent that Chord set the whole thing up and Nick is a part of a much bigger, more sinister plan.

Open Windows world premieres at SXSW Monday, March 10 at 9pm at Alamo Ritz - with Nacho and Elijah in attendance! If you're hitting up South By, put this on your must-catch list.
