BIG HERO 6: Here Come The Disney Animated Marvel Movies

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

BIG HERO 6: Here Come The Disney Animated Marvel Movies

Disney has an animated movie slotted to come out November 7, 2014, but until today no one new what it was. Some people thought, "Maybe it will be an examination of the horrors of slavery." Others thought, "Maybe it will be a sequel to Pinnochio." Others still thought, "Porno."

Turns out they were all wrong. The mystery movie will be Big Hero 6. Here's a synopsis:

Big Hero 6 is "an action comedy adventure about robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada, who finds himself in the grips of a criminal plot that threatens to destroy the fast-paced, high-tech city of San Fransokyo. WIth the help of his closest companion - a robot named Baymax - Hiro joins forces with a reluctant team of first time crime fighters on a mission to save their city."

That went by pretty fast, so I'd like to cover one little part a second time. This movie takes place in a hybrid of San Francisco and Tokyo called San Fransokyo. I love it already, though I do think maybe it should be wearing a helmet while outdoors.

Actually that's a pretty dumb thing to say when San Fransokyo looks like this:

And this:

Big Hero 6 was a Marvel comic book, making this the first of Disney's animated Marvel adaptations. How cool is it that they went with a largely unknown story? And it seems like a really cool story at that. This sounds like a great project, and I can't wait to see what becomes of it.
