Two nerdy teens obsess over a superhero who does pretty much nothing.
Keith Bearden's The Raftman's Razor premiered at Sundance in 2005, but it just went live on YouTube today for you to watch from the comfort of your own computer. In it, two nerdy teenage oddballs become wholly preoccupied with a comic called "The Raftman," in which a superhero does nothing but survive on a raft in the middle of the ocean for endless days, thinking one esoteric thought per issue and shaving himself with a pearl-handled straight razor.
The short is funny and poignant and sweetly, sadly wistful. It's a good way to make seven minutes of your Friday morning fly by. Enjoy!
