Studios love giving out free posters at IMAX screenings. The latest: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Warner Bros is giving attendees of the first IMAX screenings - 12:01AM December 14th - four free posters to commemorate the event. The posters come as a set.
A heads up: the IMAX screenings are all 24fps. About 450 theaters nationwide will have 48fps, but none will be IMAX*. Still, it's IMAX, so that's better. And you'll be getting the first nine minutes of Star Trek Into Darkness, to top it off.
Here are the posters. You going to the first showing to get them? Or will you just wait for them to show up on eBay?
By the way - there's no official ID on the artist yet, but I think it looks like Drew Struzan. Thoughts? I"ll update this when I hear something official.
* UPDATE: there will be LIEMAX 48fps screenings. As far as I know none of the 48fps screenings will be true IMAX. Fuck LIEMAX.
