V and W are for VIRGIN WITCH, a 1971 British exploitation movie about a model who becomes a witch.
Virgin Witch stars sisters Vicki and Ann Michelle as two hopeful models who sign up for a shoot at a remote country house only to discover that they've been lured there by a lusty lesbian for the purposes of a virgin sacrifice and coven induction. Of course, it sounds in the trailer like the country estate is called "Witch World," so I feel like they should have had an inkling of what to expect there. The film was first summarily rejected for release by the British Censor but eventually squeaked by with an X rating.
It's apparently a pretty straightforward cross between a horror pic and a nudie picture that has a lot of fans, but according to its Wikipedia page, the Michelle sisters have disowned the film. "Vicki's website makes no reference to the film, while Ann's refers to it as 'not an experience Ann cares to remember.'"
I've never seen the film but I dig the trailer with its plunky, porny music, askew sconces and non sequitur editing. I'm also super into the funky typeface used for the title in the trailer. More sconces! Sconces are a big deal at Witch World, apparently.
