Let's talk about Ben Kingsley's accent.
I recently read someone compare the latest Iron Man armor to the caffeine-free Diet Coke can colors, and now I can't get that out of my head. I'm not a fan of this iteration of the armor.
But Iron Man 3 promises to have some stuff I can get behind, like Sir Ben Kingsley making a really weird accent choice for his villain character, The Mandarin. And I like a good old fashioned 'hero put to the test' story, and the shots of Tony Stark's Malibu mansion sliding into the sea tell us that's what we'll get. I'm not psyched about Pepper Potts going damsel in distress, but the Iron Patriout looks great in action. And while the trailer's opening dialogue is a poorly cobbled together series of words (seriously, I bet half that stuff is so wildly out of context we'll look back and laugh), I like that it makes mention of what happened in New York in The Avengers.
But I liked the Iron Man 2 materials as well. Here's hoping that this film's script was better put together than the last movie.
