Drafthouse Films is rescuing outback classic WAKE IN FRIGHT for its 40th anniversary. Here's the new trailer.
One of the movies I'm most excited to see at Fantastic Fest is Ted Kotcheff's Wake in Fright. The film is 40 years old, but it's getting a new release from our sister company, Drafthouse Films. The movie is about a man trapped in the Australian outback in an alcoholic haze partially fueled by Donald Pleasance.
This trailer makes the film look incredible; I've had a chance to see a streaming version but I've opted to wait for the real deal on 35mm. The movie opens October 5th in New York and then expands October 12th.
