THE MAN WITH THE IRON FISTS Red Band Trailer Is Insane
This movie won't be boring, that's for sure.
RZA of the Wu Tang Clan is making his directorial debut with The Man With the Iron Fists, which seems to be a fever dream version of a classic Shaw Bros chopsockey movie. The trailer is a blizzard of action and violence and really gorgeous art design.
My only hesitation this early: there's a lot of CGI in there. I was hoping the duo of RZA and Eli Roth would be as practical as possible, although I don't know how some of that stuff - the whirlwind of blood cascading off spinning blades - could be done practically. RZA is obviously trying to merge cinema, video games and anime into one big stoned package.
