Our Daily Trailer: RESERVOIR DOGS

Give us this day our daily trailer! Let's go back in time to when Quentin Tarantino's name was buried at the end of the trailer.

Reservoir Dogs played the 1992 Sundance Film Festival. It didn't win any awards. Zebrahead and In The Soup took home awards, but Reservoir Dogs didn't.

Of course Reservoir Dogs is a seminal moment in modern film history, and we probably can't say the same for Zebrahead. Quentin Tarantino's career took off in the snowy Utah mountains, even if no one on the festival jury realized it at the time*.

The trailer for Reservoir Dogs is pretty great; I especially like the 'gunshot montage' towards the end. The trailer sells a movie that's a bit more action-packed than the real film, but I think it nails the movie's energy.

* to be fair I'm not sure if Reservoir Dogs played in competition, so it may not have been eligible for any awards. Let's pretend it was just to have an air of superiority.
