Last night I attended the AFI closing night film, The Adventures of Tintin, and I quite loved it. The posters for Raiders of the Lost Ark carried the line 'The Return of the Great Adventure,' and I think the same could be said for Tintin, which feels like Steven Spielberg tapping back into his mojo from 1982. The biggest complaint I have about the film is that it's so jammed with excitement I was exhausted by the end. I'll have a full review sometime next week, but in the meantime enjoy this new TV spot, which features new footage (and includes one of my favorite shots, with Tintin and Captain Haddock coming on camelback into a Middle Eastern port city).
