Remember that gritty Mortal Kombat teaser that went around last year? The one where Scorpion was a serial killer with a skin disease and Raiden was an electrician? Well, the team behind that has been given money to make a web series. Called Mortal Kombat: Legacy, the first episode is now available to watch.
Let’s put it this way: you wouldn’t watch something called Mortal Kombat for the script. But once the action kicks in about halfway through this first episode things get interesting. That said, what the heck does this have to do with anything? I would have liked an episode 1 that gives me a better idea of just what this series is going to be - will it just be a police action thing with characters from the game as villains, or will it turn into the actual tournament we know from the games?
